Whole Foods Market Partners with Boss Defrost to Reduce Water Waste in Grocery

WFM is the first grocer to adopt this technology to scale in keeping with their Mission in Action Environmental Stewardship initiative

MARCH 2022 — Boss Defrost proudly announces a partnership with national grocer Whole Foods Market. With over 40 stores serving communities in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Utah, and El Paso, Texas, Whole Foods market is the first grocer to adopt Boss Defrost across an entire region (Rocky Mountain) seeking to reduce its corporate water footprint under their Mission in Action Environmental Stewardship program.

According to Rae Hefley, Senior Operations Rep, for WFM RM:

“We’re always looking for ways to do more for our planet — because we believe it’s worth it for our customers, Team Members and suppliers are constantly exploring innovative initiatives to make our stores more efficient.

Introducing Boss Defrost water saving appliance was an easy way to keep a lot of water – and money – from literally going down the drain.”

We congratulate Whole Foods and commend their leadership in water conservation for food service.

For more than 40 years, Whole Foods Market has been the world’s leading natural and organic foods retailer.
